SUPERSPEEDWAY RACING: The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway for round three of the Playoffs this weekend. Young’s Motorsports will be taking three Trucks to the 2.66-mile circuit – the Young’s Building System/RANDCO No. 02 of Austin Hill, the Yurpal.com No. 20 of Max Tullman and the Nyloxin/K&L Ready Mix No. 12 of Tanner Thorson – to the Fr8Auctions 250.
HILL’S SUPERSPEEDWAY HISTORY: The Winston, Ga., native has one start at Talladega Superspeedway, in 2015 he started and finished the 98-lap race in 22nd. Hill also has two starts at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., with his best finish coming earlier this season when he finished 11th.
TULLMAN’S TALLADEGA TRUCK SERIES DEBUT: Although this will be Tullman’s career-first NCWTS start at Talladega Superspeedway, he made an ARCA Racing Series start at the track earlier this season and came home with a sixth-place finish. The 21-year-old has two prior starts this season with Young’s Motorsports at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park in Bowmanville, Ontario, CAN. The Chester Springs, Penn., native earned a career-best 23rd-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway in June.
SUPERSPEEDWAY ROOKIE: Thorson will make his career-first start at a Superspeedway in this Saturday’s Fr8Auctions 250. Duringx his previous six starts for Young’s Motorsports in the NCWTS, the Minden, Nev., native has tallied a trio of top-15 finishes and five top-20 scores.
