● Year Three, Driven Forward: In November 2025, Ryan Ellis was announced as Young’s Motorsports’ full-time driver in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series as the organization enters its third season of competition.
In a significant step for 2026, Young’s Motorsports will transition its flagship No. 02 — long synonymous with the organization’s success in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series — to the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series full-time, underscoring the team’s continued growth at the national level.
Ellis will pilot the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro across the full 33-race schedule, continuing with Saturday afternoon’s The Progress Group 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway and culminating with the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Championship Race at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway in November.
Just three races remain in the 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season. Following Talladega, teams will head to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway for the penultimate race of the year before returning to the Sunshine State, where Homestead-Miami Speedway will host the season finale for the first time since 2019, officially bringing the curtain down on the 2026 campaign.
● About Ryan: A respected veteran in the NASCAR garage, Ellis joins Young’s Motorsports with more than a decade of experience across NASCAR’s national ranks, including competition in the NASCAR Cup Series and the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series.
The 2026 season will mark Ellis’ fourth full-time campaign in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
The 35-year-old Virginia native is coming off his first career NASCAR top-10 finish in 2025 and looks to build on that momentum while continuing to expand his résumé, which includes 194 career starts in series competition.
Known for his consistency, professionalism, and versatility behind the wheel and in the garage, Ellis aims to apply his experience to elevate Young’s Motorsports’ competitive presence in its third season in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

● Ryan Ellis O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Talladega Superspeedway Stats: Saturday afternoon’s return to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway will mark Ryan Ellis’s ninth career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start at the famed 2.66-mile superspeedway.
In his eight previous appearances at the Alabama oval, Ellis earned a track-best 11th-place finish after starting 36th in the spring 2023 edition of the Ag-Pro 300 while competing for Alpha Prime Racing.
Overall, Ellis has averaged a 24.8 finish at the track nestled in the Heart of Dixie.
During the series’ spring visit earlier this season, Ellis qualified a respectable 21st but couldn't capitalize on his promising start, ultimately settling for a frustrating 36th-place finish.
Saturday’s return gives Ellis and the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet team a chance to put that disappointment behind them and pursue a stronger result at NASCAR’s largest oval.
After returning to the Arizona desert and Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series heads east this weekend for its second and final 2026-season visit to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
With just three races remaining in the 2026 season, Saturday afternoon’s return to NASCAR’s largest oval presents another opportunity for teams to secure a strong result as the championship campaign winds down, with Martinsville (Va.) Speedway and Homestead-Miami Speedway still to come.
The action-packed weekend features a NASCAR national-series tripleheader, beginning Friday afternoon with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series’ Love’s RV Stop 225. The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series takes center stage Saturday before the NASCAR Cup Series closes the weekend Sunday with the YellaWood 500.
Known for its breathtaking speeds, unpredictable racing and dramatic finishes, the 2.66-mile Talladega Superspeedway presents one of the most demanding challenges on the NASCAR schedule.
Unlike traditional ovals, Talladega places a premium on drafting, maintaining momentum and making split-second decisions while racing in tightly packed groups at speeds approaching 200 mph.
Finding the right drafting partners, navigating multiple lanes of traffic and avoiding the ever-present threat of a multicar accident will be critical to a successful afternoon.
For Ryan Ellis and Young’s Motorsports, Saturday’s return to Talladega offers an opportunity to improve upon their disappointing spring visit, when Ellis qualified 21st but ultimately finished 36th aboard the No. 02 Chevrolet.
With a track-best 11th-place finish at Talladega in 2023, Ellis understands the importance of patience, positioning and making the right decisions throughout the race, particularly as the intensity increases in the
closing stages.
With only three races remaining in their 2026 campaign together, Ellis and the No. 02 team will look to capitalize on their superspeedway experience and put themselves in position to contend for a strong finish in Saturday afternoon’s event.
Although Ellis and Young’s Motorsports will pursue separate paths following the conclusion of the season, their focus remains firmly on maximizing every remaining opportunity, delivering competitive performances and rewarding the partners and personnel who have supported their efforts throughout the year.
● Ryan Ellis NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Career Stats: Entering Talladega, Ellis has 194 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races to his credit, earning a career-best sixth-place finish after starting 32nd in the 2026 edition of the United Rentals 300 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway for Young’s Motorsports.
Since his 2012 debut, Ellis has averaged a 26.6 finish in series competition, including the past three seasons running full-time.
● Phoenix Raceway | Timberland PRO 200 Race Recap: Ryan Ellis and the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet team arrived at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway determined to rebound from a disappointing Charlotte outing and capitalize on their second and final visit of the season to the 1.0-mile oval.
Starting 28th, Ellis and his team worked steadily to improve the handling of their Chevrolet, finding a more comfortable balance as the race progressed and allowing Ellis to maintain competitive pace throughout the afternoon.
The team's strategic decision to capitalize on a potential caution during the green-flag pit stop cycle paid dividends, as the timely yellow flag helped Ellis gain valuable track position and move solidly inside the top 20.
With improved handling and a favorable track position, Ellis continued to capitalize on the opportunity, running between 15th and 20th in the closing stages while staying on the lead lap.
Ellis ultimately took the checkered flag in 18th, gaining 10 positions from his starting spot and earning his best NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series finish since a 17th-place performance in late August at Daytona International Speedway.
The encouraging result rewarded the No. 02 team's persistence and strategic execution, providing a much-needed positive finish as Ellis and Young’s Motorsports enter the final three races of their 2026 campaign together.
● Calling the Shots: Guiding Ryan Ellis as crew chief of the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro is longtime crew chief, engineer and motorsports veteran Eddie Troconis.
Saturday afternoon’s race at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway will mark Troconis’ 52nd career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start atop the pit box. In his previous 51 races, he has earned two top-10 finishes, most recently in the 2026 season opener at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.
The 31st race of the 2026 season will also mark Troconis’ second O’Reilly Auto Parts Series appearance as crew chief at the famed 2.66-mile superspeedway.
Beyond his O’Reilly Auto Parts Series experience, Troconis has called eight NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series races at Talladega, highlighted by a track-best 13th-place finish with Christopher Bell in 2015.
● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Talladega Superspeedway: This weekend’s The Progress Group 250 will mark Young’s Motorsports’ seventh and eighth NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
The organization made an impressive debut at the 2.66-mile superspeedway in April 2024, when rookie Leland Honeyman Jr. charged from 33rd on the starting grid to finish fourth, delivering the family-owned team's best NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series result to date.
Young’s Motorsports added another strong performance in the spring of 2025, when Anthony Alfredo earned the organization's second top-10 finish at Talladega with a sixth-place effort.
Across its six previous NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts at the Alabama oval, Young’s Motorsports has recorded an average starting position of 23.2 and an average finishing position of 21.8.
Beyond its O’Reilly Auto Parts Series accomplishments, the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization brings extensive NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series experience to Talladega, with 19 starts since 2014, highlighted by two victories, most recently with Tate Fogleman in October 2021.
Across those Truck Series appearances, Young’s Motorsports has averaged a 22.7 starting position and a 17.8 finishing position.
● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series History: Since entering the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2024, the family-owned organization has logged 126 starts and earned one top-five and four top-10 finishes while maintaining an average starting position of 27.7 and an average finish of 25.1.

Ryan Ellis Quote Board:
On Return to Talladega Superspeedway: “I'm looking forward to getting back to Talladega. It's always one of those races you circle on the calendar because you never really know what's going to happen, and that's part of what makes superspeedway racing so exciting.
“We had a disappointing finish there in the spring after qualifying 21st, so I'd really like to turn that around this weekend. I've had some decent runs at Talladega over the years, including an 11th-place finish in 2023, and I know how important it is to be in the right place at the right time.
“Talladega is a place where anything can happen, and hopefully we can put ourselves in position to take advantage of an opportunity and come away with a strong finish.”
On Keys to Success at Talladega Superspeedway: “Talladega is all about being smart, understanding the draft and knowing when to make your moves. You can have a really good race car, but if you get caught in the wrong lane or lose your drafting help, you can go from the front to the back pretty quickly.
“You have to pay attention to what's happening around you, especially when everybody starts getting aggressive toward the end of the stages and in the closing laps. Sometimes patience is your best friend, and other times you have to make a decision in a split second.
“Pit road is another big part of it. Getting on and off pit road cleanly, staying with your drafting partners and avoiding mistakes can make a huge difference. Hopefully, we can keep our No. 02 Chevrolet out of trouble and be there when it counts.”
On Goals for Talladega Superspeedway: “After our run at Phoenix last weekend, I'd really like to keep that positive direction going. We had a much better-handling race car, the strategy worked out in our favor, and we were able to race inside the top 20 before finishing 18th. That was a good result for everyone on this team, especially after the frustration we had at Charlotte.
“Talladega is obviously a completely different challenge, and you can't control everything that happens in a superspeedway race. But we can control how prepared we are, how we execute on pit road and the decisions we make throughout the afternoon.
“I'd love to be in contention for another top-20 finish, and if things fall our way, maybe even challenge for a top 15 or better. We've only got a few races left together, and I want to make every one of them count.”
On Continued Partnership with Tablo TV: “I'm really thankful to have Tablo TV continuing its support of our No. 02 Young's Motorsports Chevrolet this weekend at Talladega. They've been a great partner throughout the season, and I appreciate everything they've done to help us compete at this level.
“Talladega is one of the most exciting races on the schedule, and it's a great opportunity to showcase Tablo TV to NASCAR fans. With so many people looking for ways to enjoy live television and their favorite programming, it's been fun helping introduce the brand to the racing community.
“Hopefully, we can give everyone at Tablo TV a reason to celebrate Saturday afternoon. They've been behind us through the good weekends and the challenging ones, and I'd really like to reward that support with another strong finish.”
On Goals for Remainder of 2026 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Season: “With only three races remaining, my biggest goal is to finish this season on a positive note and make sure we're giving our best effort every time we unload the No. 02 Chevrolet.
“Phoenix was a good reminder of what this team is capable of when we put everything together. We had a solid race car, made some good calls and came away with our best finish since August. That's the kind of performance I want us to build on over these final few weeks.
“Obviously, Tyler, Randy, Becky and I know we'll be going our separate ways after this season, but that doesn't change how much I appreciate everything we've worked toward together. These guys have put a lot into this program, and I want to make sure we finish strong for them and for all of our partners.
“We've got Talladega, Martinsville and Homestead-Miami left, and each of those tracks presents a different challenge. Hopefully, we can put together three solid races, have a little fun along the way and end our time together with some results everyone can feel good about.”

● Year Three, Driven Forward: Young’s Motorsports continues its campaign in the newly rebranded NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series this weekend as the tour returns to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway for its second and final visit of the 2026 season, with the famed 2.66-mile oval hosting the final superspeedway race of the year.
Part-time NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series competitor Nick Leitz returns to the driver’s seat of the No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro for Saturday afternoon’s The Progress Group 250, marking his third start of the season with the organization in the 31st race of the 33-event schedule.
● About Nick: A relatively new face in NASCAR’s national series, Nick Leitz has steadily built a diverse racing résumé through his experience in Late Model competition and opportunities across NASCAR’s national touring divisions.
A native of Chesapeake, Va., Leitz established his racing roots in the Northeast Late Model scene before making the transition to NASCAR competition in 2022, where he has continued to compete on a limited basis while gaining valuable experience.
In 2025, Leitz made one NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series start for Young’s Motorsports at Richmond (Va.) Raceway while also competing in 13 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series events for SS-GreenLight Racing.
The Virginian opened his 2026 NASCAR campaign with an impressive 11th-place finish in the Fresh From Florida 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, driving the No. 5 Toyota Tundra for TRICON Garage.
The performance marked a career-best Truck Series finish in his ninth start.
Since then, Leitz has made two NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series appearances for Young’s Motorsports, competing in both events at EchoPark (Ga.) Speedway, while also contesting a five-race NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series schedule with TRICON Garage.
His most recent Truck Series outing at Kansas Speedway in late September produced a career-best seventh-place finish, further demonstrating his continued progression at the national level.
This weekend, Leitz returns to the No. 42 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro for his third NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start of the season, looking to capitalize on his superspeedway experience and continue his recent run of competitive performances at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
● All-Aboard! For the 31st of 33 NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races this season, Young’s Motorsports welcomes back Precision Measurements Inc. as the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro's primary partner for Saturday afternoon’s 94-lap The Progress Group 250

● Nick Leitz O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Talladega Superspeedway Stats: Saturday afternoon’s return to Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway will mark Nick Leitz’s third career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series start at the famed 2.66-mile oval.
In two previous appearances at Talladega, Leitz has recorded an average finish of 24.0, highlighted by a track-best 11th-place result after starting 28th in the fall 2025 United Rentals 250 while competing for SS-GreenLight Racing.
Following last weekend’s visit to Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway, the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series heads to Alabama for its final superspeedway race of the 2026 season, with just three events remaining before the championship concludes at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The weekend features a NASCAR national-series tripleheader, beginning Friday afternoon with the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series’ Love’s RV Stop 225. The NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series takes center stage Saturday with The Progress Group 250 before the NASCAR Cup Series closes the weekend Sunday with the YellaWood 500.
Known for its breathtaking speeds and unpredictable finishes, Talladega places a premium on drafting, finding the right racing partners and making split-second decisions while navigating tightly packed traffic at speeds approaching 200 mph.
For Leitz and Young’s Motorsports, Saturday’s race marks another opportunity to work together after the Chesapeake, Va., native piloted the No. 42 Chevrolet in both NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series events at EchoPark (Ga.) Speedway earlier this season.
The No. 42 team has utilized a rotating lineup of drivers in recent weeks, including Logan Bearden, Matt DiBenedetto and Brad Perez, who competed for the organization last weekend at Phoenix Raceway.
The program has shown encouraging progress, highlighted by Bearden’s 18th-place finish at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and consecutive top-23 results with DiBenedetto at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway and Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway.
With a career-best seventh-place NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series finish at Kansas Speedway in late September and previous Talladega experience to draw upon, Leitz hopes to help the No. 42 team continue its recent run of competitive performances and contend for a strong finish Saturday afternoon.
● Nick Leitz NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Career Stats: Entering Talladega, Leitz has made 22 career NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts, highlighted by a career-best 11th-place finish after starting 28th in the 2025 United Rentals 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway while competing for SS-GreenLight Racing.
Since making his series debut in 2023, the Chesapeake, Va., native has recorded an average finishing position of 27.0.

Nick Leitz Quote Board:
On Talladega Superspeedway: “Talladega is one of those places where you never really know what to expect, and that’s part of what makes it exciting.
“You can have a really good race car and do everything right, but there are so many things that can happen that are out of your control. I enjoy superspeedway racing because it gives everyone an opportunity to be competitive, and you have to be smart about how you approach the race.
“I’m excited to get back behind the wheel of the No. 42 Chevrolet and see what we can accomplish this weekend.”
On Keys to Success at Talladega Superspeedway: “I think patience is probably the biggest thing. You have to understand when to make a move and when to just ride and let the race come to you.
“Having the right drafting partners is important, but so is making sure you’re in the right position when it matters.
“You also have to take care of your equipment, have clean pit stops and hopefully avoid getting caught up in somebody else’s trouble.
“If we can do those things and be around at the end, I think we can put ourselves in a good position.”
On Goals for Talladega Superspeedway: “Our biggest goal is to run a clean race and be in contention when it counts.
“I feel like I’ve made some good progress this year, especially with the finishes we’ve been able to put together on the Truck Series side, and I want to carry that confidence into this weekend.
“Young’s Motorsports has had some really good runs at Talladega in the past, so we know the organization is capable of getting the job done.
“If we can stay out of trouble and put ourselves in the right spot late in the race, I’d love to come away with a top-15 or even a top-10 finish.”
On Continued Support from Precision Measurements Inc.: “I’m grateful to have Precision Measurements Inc. continuing to support me and my racing career.
“Having people and companies who believe in what you’re trying to accomplish means a lot, especially when you’re working to build your experience and establish yourself at this level.
“Every opportunity I get to race is important, and I don’t take any of them for granted. Hopefully, we can give everyone at Precision Measurements Inc. something to be excited about this weekend and represent them well on and off the racetrack.”
On Another NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series Opportunity with Young’s Motorsports: “I’m thankful to Tyler Young and everyone at Young’s Motorsports for giving me another opportunity to drive the No. 42 Chevrolet.
“We’ve already worked together a couple of times this year at EchoPark Speedway, so there’s some familiarity there, and I think that helps when you’re jumping back into the car.
“The team has had several different drivers behind the wheel lately, and they’ve been working hard to improve the program, which has shown in some of the solid finishes they’ve delivered in recent weeks.
“I want to do my part, give them good feedback and hopefully reward all that hard work with a strong finish. We’re getting close to the end of the season, and I’d really like to make this opportunity count.”
