TRICKY TRIANGLE: The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to the Pocono Raceway in Long Pond, Penn., for round 14 of the 2018 season. Young’s Motorsports will be taking the Young’s Building Systems No. 02 of Austin Hill and the Maestro’s Classic No. 20 of Tanner Thorson to the Tricky Triangle located in the Pocono Mountains.
HILL AT POCONO: The Winston, Ga., native will be making his third start at the 2.5-mile circuit. In 2016, he started sixth, but got into the wall early, ending his race and resulting in a 23rd-place finish. The following year, Hill rebounded by starting 10th, completing all 60 laps and finishing 11th.
THORSON’S SEASON: Saturday’s 60-lap Gander Outdoors 150 will be Thorson’s fourth-career NCWTS race. In his previous three events this season, the Minden, Nev., native has finished better than where he started each race. His best result came in June at Iowa Speedway in Newton, with a 13th-place finish.
