DIRT TRACKIN’ AT THE BIG E: The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series takes on the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio this Wednesday night for the sixth annual Eldora Dirt Derby. The Young’s Motorsports team is bringing three Chevrolets to the high-banked, half-mile oval. Austin Hill will pilot the Young’s Building Systems/Randco No. 02, Tanner Thorson will be in the Ohio Logistics No. 20 and NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series driver, Ty Dillon, will be in the K&L Ready Mix No. 12.
ELDORA ROOKIE: The Winston, Ga., native will make his first visit to “The Big E” in Wednesday night’s Eldora Dirt Derby. So far in 2018, Hill has notched three top-10s, eight top-15s and has only finished outside of the top-20 once this season.
THORSON AT ELDORA: Although this will be Thorson’s first trip to Eldora in a Truck, he is no stranger to the dirt track. He has competed a handful of times at the legendary half-mile in both USAC National Midget and All Star Circuit of Championship 410-winged sprint car competition. His best result was at the 2016 4-Crown Nationals when he scored a runner-up finish.
DIRT DERBY VETERAN: Dillon has competed in four of the five past Truck Series races at Eldora Speedway. He’s earned two top-10s and three top-15 finishes at “The Big E” with his best score coming in 2014 with a fifth-place tally. He also competed in the Prelude to the Dream in 2012 and earned a ninth-place finish.
