OH, CANADA: The Young’s Motorsports team heads north of the border to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ont., CAN for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Chevrolet Silverado 250. Full-time Young’s Motorsports driver Austin Hill will be in the Young’s Building Systems RANDCO No. 02, with Max Tullman in the Zoomi No. 20 and Canadian Alex Tagliani in the RONA Contractors Division No. 12.
CANADA ROOKIE: Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will be Hill’s first visit to the 2.5-mile road course. Although being his first NCWTS start at a road course, the Winston, Ga., native has six career starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East where he has scored one top-five and four top-10 finishes.
DOUBLE-DUTY DRIVER: Tullman will make his second NCWTS start this weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. The Chester Springs, Penn., native who just celebrated his 21st birthday this past Wednesday, will pull double-duty at the 10-turn road course as he will also be competing in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Series driving for his family-owned Tullman-Walker Racing.
CANADIAN COUNTRYMAN: Tagliani made his first NCWTS race with Young’s Motorsports last year at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. After closing a last-minute deal with the team in 2017, Tagliani moved from a 12th place starting position, to sixth in Stage 2 of the 64-lap race before encountering a fuel pick up problem resulting in a 19th-place finish. The road course specialist is currently competing in Canada’s NASCAR Pinty’s Series. This will be Tagliani’s 12th career NASCAR national series start. During his previous 11 races in NCWTS and NASCAR XFINITY Series competition, he has earned six poles, five top-five and six top-10 finishes, including earning a career-best second-place finish three times.
