This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ 11th, 12th, and 13th NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Newton, Iowa,-facility. The organization has posted a team best 13th-place finish twice at the track, with drivers Scott Lagasse, Jr., (2017) and Tanner Thorson (2018). The previous 10 starts at the 7/8-mile oval track have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 22.1 and an average finish of 22.1.
Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 189 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 20 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.8 and an average finishing position of 19.3.
Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has four starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Iowa Speedway. In addition, Young has one start (2016) at the Iowa Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS).

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Iowa Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. T-19 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series M&M’S 200 presented by Casey’s General Store at the Iowa Speedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team as last unloaded this chassis at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway on February 23, where it finished in the 11th-place after starting in the 15th-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.
Hawkeye State Facts ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Iowa Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Wallkill, N.Y., driver has three NASCAR K&N Pro Series starts at the 7/8-mile oval track including a sixth-place finish in 2018. In addition, Dippel captured the pole award in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in 2018. He made his track debut on July 29, 2016 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.
Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series starts on a short track (less than one mile in length), Tyler Dippel has an average starting spot of 22.5 and an average finish of 20.0 on these racetracks.
Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has two top-five finishes and four top-ten finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Newton, Iowa,-facility in 11 starts. Kendrick maintains the highest average finish (12.1) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Iowa Speedway.
In the Rearview Mirror: Texas Motor Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Randco Industries Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 25th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, June 7. Dippel started in the 12th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 40, Dippel had advanced to the sixth-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 80, he continued in the top-10 with a ninth-place finish in the stage. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the first-place before being involved in an incident on Lap 89 that ended his promising day at the Texas Motor Speedway.

Season-to-date … Through the first nine NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 1266 of 1440 laps contested (87.9 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-10 finish, has spent 414 laps running in the top 15 and has made 321 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Iowa Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 101 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series M&M’S 200 presented by Casey’s General Store at the Iowa Speedway. The Jeff Stankiewicz-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Dover (Del.) International Speedway on May 3, where it finished in the 14th-place after starting in the 18th-place in the chassis’ third appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Tanner Thorson also took the reins of chassis No. 101 at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, ISM Raceway and the Martinsville Speedway, and Austin Hill was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at both the Dover International Speedway and the Iowa Speedway in 2018.
Field of Dreams ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Iowa Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Bluffton, S.C., driver has two starts in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series, including one top-ten finish in his track debut on July 8, 2017.
Short Track Stats: In one NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series start on a short track (less than one mile in length), Gus Dean has an average starting spot of 17.0 and an average finish of 32.0 on these racetracks.
Atop the Pit Box: Jeff Stankiewicz … Jeff Stankiewicz, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, has six starts at the Newton, Iowa,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, including one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes. In addition, Stankiewicz has two starts at the Iowa Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In his only start in the ARCA Racing Series as a crew chief at the Iowa Speedway, Stankiewicz collected the pole award and was victorious.
In the Rearview Mirror: Texas Motor Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 Basin Pump Down Services Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 32nd-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, June 7. The 24-year old started in the 17th-place at the Fort Worth, Texas,-facility. On Lap 10 he was involved in an incident on the backstretch. The South Carolina-native was scored as high as the 15th-place.

This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Iowa Speedway … Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. T-14 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series M&M’S 200 presented by Casey’s General Store at the Iowa Speedway. The Andrew Abbott-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 1, where they finished in the 29th-place after starting in the 23rd-place in the chassis’ first appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.
Iowa Speedway: Corn Fed … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Iowa Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The St. Louis, Mo., driver has three starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at the 7/8-mile track. He made his track debut on July 30, 2016 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series starts on a short track (less than one mile in length), Spencer Boyd has an average starting spot of 26.0 and an average finish of 27.5 on these racetracks.
Atop the Pit Box: Andrew Abbott … Andrew Abbott, crew chief for the No. 20 TRQ Auto Parts Chevrolet Silverado, has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Iowa Speedway. In addition, Abbott has two starts at the Iowa Speedway as a crew chief in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 ClickandBuyGuns.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 23rd-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 400 at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday, June 7. Boyd started in the 27th-position, finished Stage 1 on Lap 40 in the 21st-position, and was scored in the 13th-place at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 80. The 23-year old was scored as high as ninth-position throughout the race before being collected in an incident on Lap 95.
