Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Dover International Speedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ eighth, ninth, and tenth NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Dover, Del.,-facility. The organization posted a team best finish of tenth-place with driver Tyler Young on May 29, 2015. The seven previous starts at the one-mile track have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 23.3 and an average finish of 22.0.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 177 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 20 top-10 finishes, yielding an average starting position of 19.8 and an average finishing position of 19.3.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has three starts, including one that resulted in a top-10 finish, in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Dover International Speedway.


Local Flavor, Virginia is for Lovers … Young’s Motorsports truck chief Steven Dawson, with the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado team, hails from Madison, Virginia. Jordan Irving, truck chief for the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, is from Fredericksburg, Va.


NASCAR Salutes … During the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series JEGS 200, Young’s Motorsports will host Airmen from the Dover Air Force Base as honorary pit crew members.

No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado


This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Dover International Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. T-19 in the JEGS 200 at the Dover International Speedway. This Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis was last unloaded at the Texas Motor Speedway on March 29, where it finished in the eighth-place after starting in the 24th-place in the chassis’ third appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Additionally, Dippel was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway and also at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.


The First State Facts ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Dover International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Wallkill, N.Y., driver has two starts at the Dover International Speedway in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East which include one top-five and two top-10 finishes. He made his track debut on September 30, 2016 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.


Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Tyler Dippel has an average starting position of 22.5 and an average finish of 20.0 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has one top-five finish and three top-ten finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Dover, Del.,-facility in eight starts. In addition, he is credited with leading 38 laps at Dover International Speedway as a crew chief.


In the Rearview Mirror: Texas Motor Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Randco Industries Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the eighth-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Vankor 350 at the Texas Motor Speedway on March 29. Dippel started in the 24th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 35, Dippel was in the 17th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70, he had advanced to the 14th-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the eighth-place, and posted his career-first NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series top-10 finish.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Dover International Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 101 in the JEGS 200 at the Dover International Speedway. The Jeff Stankiewicz-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Martinsville Speedway on March 23, where it finished in the 32nd-place after starting in the 17th-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Tanner Thorson also took the reins of chassis No. 101 at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, ISM Raceway and the Martinsville Speedway, and Austin Hill was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at both the Dover International Speedway and the Iowa Speedway in 2018.


The Monster Mile ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Dover International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Short Track Stats: In one NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series start on a short track (less than one mile in length), Gus Dean has an average starting spot of 17.0 and an average finish of 32.0 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Jeff Stankiewicz … Jeff Stankiewicz, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, has four starts at the Dover, Del.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, including one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes. He maintains the highest average finish (12.0) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Dover International Speedway. Stankiewicz also has two starts at the Dover International Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS). In addition, Stankiewicz has a fourth-place finish in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in his only series start at the one-mile track.


Pace Laps: Gus Dean Resets … The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series had the month off, and Gus Dean wasted no time enjoying the break after the first five races of the schedule. Dean returned to the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) Racing Series behind-the-wheel of the No. 32 Nu-Calgon | CAB Installers Chevrolet Camaro for Win-Tron Racing, finishing in the sixth-place at the Talladega (Al.) Superspeedway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Texas Motor Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of No. 12 Basin Pump Down Services Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 29th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Vankor 350 at the Texas Motor Speedway on March 29. The 24-year old started in the 26th-place in his debut at the Fort Worth, Texas,-facility. Dean was collected in an early incident in Turn 4, and his day was limited to just 28 total laps. As such, he ended up turning in a 29th-place finish.


Quoting Gus Dean: “I am looking forward to Dover (International Speedway). It is another track that I will be making my NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series debut at. I have heard a lot about Dover International Speedway, and I hope it races like a bigger Salem (Ind.) Speedway - if it doesn’t, no big deal. I have had a lot of success at Salem (Speedway) in the ARCA Racing Series. I am confident my crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz, and I can get our No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado dialed-in and we can contend for a strong finish.”

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Dover International Speedway ... Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. T-11 in the JEGS 200 at the Dover International Speedway. The Andrew Abbott-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Martinsville Speedway on March 23, where they finished in the 27th-place after starting in the 25th-place. In addition, Chassis No. 11 has history at the Martinsville Speedway with Jeb Burton, as well as at Chicagoland Speedway, Michigan International Speedway and the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.


Spencer Boyd's Monstrous Dover Miles … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Dover International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The St. Louis, Mo., driver has two starts at the Dover International Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He made his track debut on May 5, 2018 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.


Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Spencer Boyd has an average starting spot of 26.0 and an average finish of 27.5 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Andrew Abbott … Andrew Abbott, crew chief for the No. 20 DLX Mattresses Chevrolet Silverado, has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Dover International Speedway, including with Tyler Young.


Fans Part of Spencer Boyd’s Month Away from Behind-the-Wheel ... Throughout NASCAR's February-to-November season, drivers and teams only get a small handful of weekends off. At the Richmond (Va.) Raceway, on April 12, Spencer Boyd watched the NASCAR Xfinity Series event with 10 lucky fans. In addition, fans received gifts from sponsors, and the VIP experience with Boyd as part of a social media promotion.


In the Rearview Mirror: Texas Motor Speedway ... Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 Texas Rig Equipment Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 11th-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Vankor 350 at the Texas Motor Speedway on March 29. Boyd started in the 21st-position, and with plenty of forward momentum, finished Stage 1 on Lap 35 in the 11th-position. On Lap 70 at the conclusion of Stage 2, the 23-year old driver was in the 18th-place, one lap down to the leader. Boyd was scored as high as the ninth-place, and battled throughout the race to finish in the 11th-place – on the lead lap.


Quoting Spencer Boyd: “The Dover International Speedway is a ‘monster’ for sure. We have had our moments there, but look forward to tackling it for the first time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.”
