Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Bristol Motor Speedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ ninth, 10th, and 11th NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Bristol, Tenn.,-facility. The organization posted a team best 14th-place finish on August 16, 2018 with driver Tanner Thorson. The eight previous starts at the .533-mile concrete oval have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 20.2 and an average finish of 19.4.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 210 starts from 25 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include four top-five finishes and 22 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 19.1.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has four starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Bristol Motor Speedway.


Meet Young’s Motorsports’ Drivers … Landon Huffman, Gus Dean, and Tyler Dippel are scheduled to participate in an autograph session with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, August 15 at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Fans can visit the Team Chevy Racing display located in the fan midway at the Bristol Motor Speedway for a question and answer session with the Young’s Motorsports drivers on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. (ET).

Catch the Action ... The UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics will be broadcast live on FS1 and the FOX Sports app on Thursday, August 15 starting with NASCAR RaceDay at 8:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the 17th event of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series schedule will air on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app.


The UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at the Bristol Motor Speedway will re-air on Friday, August 16 at 2:00 a.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app.

No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado


This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Bristol Motor Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. T-19 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team as last unloaded this chassis at the Iowa Speedway on June 16, where it finished in the 19th-place after starting in the 14th-place in the chassis’ fifth appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis T-19 has additional history with Dippel at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway, Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, and the Dover (Del.) International Speedway.


Thunder Valley Facts ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Bristol Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Wallkill, N.Y., driver has three starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East at the Bristol Motor Speedway. Dippel has strong performances that include one top-10 finish with an average finishing position of 9.3 at the .533-mile track. He made his track debut on April 16, 2016 in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.


Short Track Stats: In three NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Tyler Dippel has an average starting position of 19.7 and an average finish of 19.7 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has one victory with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) driver Ryan Blaney, as well as three top-five finishes and five top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Bristol, Tenn.,-facility in 10 starts. Kendrick has led 84 laps as a crew chief at the Bristol Motor Speedway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Michigan International Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the third-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Corrigan Oil 200 at the Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, August 10. Dippel started in the 17th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 20, Dippel was in the 12th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 40, he was in the 19th-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the third-place. Dippel posted his career-first top-five finish in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Season-to-date … Through the first 16 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 2235 of 2415 laps contested (92.5 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes, has spent 1,004 laps running in the top 15 and has made 666 green-flag passes thus far this season.

No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado


This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Bristol Motor Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 101 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Pocono (Pa.) Raceway on July 27, where it finished in the 14th-place after starting in the 17th-place in the chassis’ sixth appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Previous entries for chassis No. 101 had Tanner Thorson at the reins at the Bristol Motor Speedway and the Martinsville Speedway, and Austin Hill was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at both the Dover (Del.) International Speedway and the Iowa Speedway in 2018.


The World's Fastest Half Mile ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Bristol Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Gus Dean has an average starting position of 19.5 and an average finish of 26.0 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Ryan “Pickle” London … C. Ryan “Pickle” London, crew chief of the No. 12 LG Air Conditioning Technologies Chevrolet Silverado, has one start at the Bristol, Tenn.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. He maintains the highest average finish (12.0) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the .533-mile track.


In the Rearview Mirror: Michigan International Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 13th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Corrigan Oil 200 at the Michigan International Speedway on Saturday, August 10. The 24-year old started in the 22nd-place at the Brooklyn, Mich.,-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 15th-place on Lap 20 and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 40, advanced to the seventh-place. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the fifth-place. In addition, he posted his career-best finish in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


QUOTING GUS DEAN:

“With some good momentum on our side, I am looking forward to going to the Bristol Motor Speedway, and see if we can’t keep it going. We have been able to score some stage points in the last couple of races and have some good finishes as well.

“I’m excited to have LG Air Conditioning Technologies back on the No. 12 Chevrolet Silverado and look forward at the opportunity to bringing them and Baker Distributing a top-10 finish on Thursday night.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 16 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 1820 of 2415 laps contested (75.4 percent). Dean is currently 15th in the driver point standings and 20th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 622 laps running in the top 15 and has made 502 green-flag passes thus far this season.

No. 20 Wrench Rags Chevrolet Silverado


This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Bristol Motor Speedway … Landon Huffman will pilot Chassis No. T-14 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series UNOH 200 presented by Ohio Logistics at the Bristol Motor Speedway. The No. 20 Wrench Rags Chevrolet Silverado team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway on June 22, where they finished in the 20th-place after starting in the 16th-place in the chassis’ third appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis No. 14 has history at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and at Iowa Speedway with Spencer Boyd.


Gladiator of Bristol … This weekend marks Landon Huffman’s second Bristol Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Claremont, N.C., driver made his track debut on August 16, 2017 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series with a 20th-place finish.


Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Landon Huffman has an average starting position of 22.5 and an average finish of 18.5 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Buddy Sisco … Buddy Sisco, crew chief for the No. 20 Wrench Rags Chevrolet Silverado, has five starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at the Bristol Motor Speedway. However, this weekend will mark his track debut in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Welcome Back … Landon Huffman will return to the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series for Young’s Motorsports. Spencer Boyd was originally scheduled to compete, but will pursue other opportunities. Boyd is still scheduled to drive the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado part-time with Young’s Motorsports for the remaining NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.

In the Rearview Mirror: Eldora Speedway ... Landon Huffman, driver of the No. 20 K&L Ready Mix Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 24th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway on Thursday, August 1. Huffman started in the sixth-place for Qualifying Race 2, and finished in the fifth-place. The 23-year old started in the 22nd-place at the Rossburg, Ohio,-facility. Huffman finished Stage 1 in the 29th-place on Lap 40, and finished Stage 2 on Lap 90 in the 26th-place. The Claremont, N.C., native was scored as high as the 21st-place.
