Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Michigan International Speedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ seventh, eighth, and ninth NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Brooklyn, Mich.,-facility. The organization posted a team best 10th-place finish on August 27, 2016 with driver Tyler Young. The previous six starts at the 2-mile speedway have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 16.0 and an average finish of 14.5.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 207 starts from 25 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 21 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 19.2.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has four starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Michigan International Speedway, including a top-10 finish.

Catch the Action ... The Corrigan Oil 200 will be broadcast live on FS1 and the FOX Sports app on Saturday, August 10 starting with NASCAR RaceDay: Gander Outdoors Truck Series at 12:00 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 12:30 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the 16th event of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series schedule will air on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (ET) on FS2 and the FOX Sports app.


The Corrigan Oil 200 at the Michigan International Speedway will re-air on Sunday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app.

No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado


This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Michigan International Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. T-12 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Corrigan Oil 200 at the Michigan International Speedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team last unloaded this chassis at the Pocono Raceway on July 27, where it finished in the 11th-place after starting in the 20th-place in the chassis’ third appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis T-12 has additional history with Dippel at the Texas Motor Speedway and the Kentucky Speedway.


Rolling Through the Irish Hills ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Michigan International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Speedway Stats: In 13 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Tyler Dippel has one top-10 finish (Texas) and an average finish of 14.5.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has five top-five finishes and six top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Brooklyn, Mich.,-facility in 10 starts. He maintains the highest average finish (9.2) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the 2-mile track. Kendrick has led 29 laps as a crew chief at the Michigan International Speedway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Eldora Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the eighth-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway on Thursday, August 1. The 19-year old started Qualifying Race 2 in the second-place, and held position to finish in the second-place. Dippel started in the seventh-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 40, Dippel was in the 13th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 90, he was in the ninth-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the third-place. Dippel posted his second top-10 finish in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Season-to-date … Through the first 15 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 2130 of 2310 laps contested (92.2 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected two top-10 finishes, has spent 920 laps running in the top 15 and has made 594 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Michigan International Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 020 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Corrigan Oil 200 at the Michigan International Speedway. The No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Texas Motor Speedway on June 7, where it finished in the 32nd-place after starting in the 17th-place in the chassis’ fifth appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis No. 020 has history at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway, the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, the Texas Motor Speedway, and the Kansas Speedway with Dean.


Pure Michigan ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Michigan International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Bluffton, S.C., driver has two starts in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series at the Michigan International Speedway. Dean has strong performances that include two top-five finishes and two top-10 finishes, with an average finishing position of 4.5 at the 2-mile track. He made his track debut on June 16, 2017 in the ARCA Racing Series.


Speedway Stats: In 10 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Gus Dean has an average finish of 21.1.


Atop the Pit Box: Ryan “Pickle” London … C. Ryan “Pickle” London, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, has one start at the Brooklyn, Mich.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


In the Rearview Mirror: Eldora Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 28th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway on Thursday, August 1. Dean started in the fourth-place for Qualifying Race 5, and finished in the fourth-place. The 24-year old started in the 20th-place at the Rossburg, Ohio,-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 22nd-place on Lap 40, and finished Stage 2 on Lap 90 in the 28th-place. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the 17th-place.


QUOTING GUS DEAN:

“Michigan International Speedway has been a great track for me in the ARCA Menards Series and I’m hoping I can translate some of that success over to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series this weekend with Young’s Motorsports. Michigan is incredibly fast with plenty of room to race and provides great racing for the fans.


“I’m hoping we can rebound from the Eldora Speedway and get a good finish that will propel us into Bristol Motor Speedway next week when LG Air Conditioning Technologies returns.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 15 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 1715 of 2310 laps contested (74.2 percent). Dean is currently 17th in the driver point standings and 21st in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 548 laps running in the top 15 and has made 459 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Michigan International Speedway … Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. T-17 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Corrigan Oil 200 at the Michigan International Speedway. The No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Texas Motor Speedway on June 7, where they finished in the 23rd-place after starting in the 27th-place in the chassis’ third appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis No. 17 has history at the Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway and the Texas Motor Speedway with Boyd.


Especially in Michigan … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Michigan International Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The St. Louis, Mo., driver has one start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) at the Michigan International Speedway. He made his track debut on June 9, 2018 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.


Speedway Stats: In 14 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Spencer Boyd has an average finish of 21.7.


Atop the Pit Box: Buddy Sisco … Buddy Sisco, crew chief for the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado, has three starts in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) at the Michigan International Speedway including a top-ten finish with Michael Waltrip. However, this weekend will mark his track debut in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Double-Duty … In the first leg of his first double-duty weekend, Spencer Boyd will return to wheel of a Young’s Motorsports entry, and will then proceed to his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series effort, driving the No. 53 for Rick Ware Racing. This weekend will be a career-first back-to-back NASCAR event for Boyd, and his career-first start in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.


In the Rearview Mirror: Eldora Speedway ... Spencer Boyd was scheduled to compete at the Eldora Speedway, but was forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained in a non-racing related incident.


Season-to-date … Through the first 14 of 15 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Spencer Boyd has completed 1923 of 2160 laps contested (89.0 percent), and has led one lap. Boyd is currently 16th in the driver point standings and 17th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-five finish (Daytona) and one top-10 finish, has spent 241 laps running in the top 15 and has made 338 green-flag passes thus far this season.
