Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Eldora Speedway ... This week will mark Young’s Motorsports’ eighth, ninth, and tenth NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Rossburg, Ohio,-facility. The organization posted a team best 11th-place finish on July 18, 2018 with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (NGOTS) driver Ty Dillon. The previous seven starts at the half-mile dirt oval have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 21.4 and an average finish of 18.3.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 204 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 20 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 19.2.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has three starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Eldora Speedway.


Meet Young’s Motorsports’ Drivers … Gus Dean, Tyler Dippel, and Landon Huffman are scheduled to participate in an autograph session with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series from 4:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, August 1 located in the Multi-Purpose Building at the Eldora Speedway.

Catch the Action ... The Eldora Dirt Derby will be broadcast live on FS1 and the FOX Sports app on Thursday, August 1 starting with NASCAR RaceDay: Eldora at 8:30 p.m. (ET). It will also broadcast live at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on the Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Qualifying for the 15th event of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series schedule will air on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app.


The Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway will re-air on Friday, August 2 at 4:00 a.m. (ET) on FS1 and the FOX Sports app, again at 8:30 a.m. (ET) on FS2 and the FOX Sports app.

No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Eldora Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. 112 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team last unloaded this chassis during the 2018 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


Slinging Mud and Sliding Sideways with Dippel ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s second Eldora Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Wallkill, N.Y., driver has earned an average starting position of 13.0 and an average finishing position of 13.0 at the Rossburg, Ohio,-facility. A dirt racer by trade, Dippel made his NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series debut on July 18, 2018 at the Eldora Speedway’s high-banked, half-mile oval.


Short Track Stats: In three NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Tyler Dippel has an average starting position of 19.7 and an average finish of 19.7 on these racetracks.


Dirt Ringer … Tyler Dippel’s racing career began at the dirt track at seven-years old, and by 10-years old he won his first national championship. A few years later, he became the youngest driver to win in a Northeast Dirt Big-Block Modified event after collecting his first big-block modified win at the Georgetown (Del.) Speedway. The following year Dippel continued his successful run on dirt, earning Rookie of the Year honors in the DIRTcar Northeast Series. He has also accumulated four track championships.


In 82 national touring series starts collected on 27 different dirt tracks, Dippel has recorded one victory (Thunder Mountain Speedway), 16 top-five finishes and 22 top-10 finishes.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Rossburg, Ohio,-facility in six starts. Kendrick maintains the highest average finish (16.3) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Eldora Speedway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Pocono (Pa.) Raceway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 D&A Concrete Contractor, Inc. Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 11th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Gander RV 150 at the Pocono Raceway on Saturday, July 27. Dippel started in the 20th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 15, Dippel was in the ninth-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 30, he was in the seventh-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the seventh-place, and earned stage points in both Stage 1 and Stage 2.


Season-to-date … Through the first 14 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 1980 of 2160 laps contested (91.7 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-10 finish, has spent 784 laps running in the top 15 and has made 517 green-flag passes thus far this season.


Gus Dean

No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Eldora Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 9 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway. This Young’s Motorsports prepared chassis was utilized at the Eldora Speedway on July 18, 2018 with driver Ty Dillon where they finished in the 11th-place – a career best effort for Young’s Motorsports at the Eldora Speedway.


Playing in the Dirt ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Eldora Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


The Bluffton, S.C., driver has four starts in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series on dirt tracks. Dean has strong performances at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds and the Illinois State Fairgrounds that include one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes. In addition, Dean has one start at the Clay Valley Speedway in Coeburn, Va., in the X-1R Pro Cup Series.


Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Gus Dean has an average starting position of 19.5 and an average finish of 26.0 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Ryan “Pickle” London … C. Ryan “Pickle” London, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, will make his track debut as crew chief in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Rossburg, Ohio,-facility.


In the Rearview Mirror: Pocono Raceway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 14th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Gander RV 150 at the Pocono Raceway on Saturday, July 27. The 24-year old started in the 17th-place at the Long Pond, Pa.,-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 13th-place on Lap 15 and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 30, advanced to the sixth-place. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the sixth-place.


Quoting Gus Dean:

“I am optimistically looking forward to the Eldora Speedway this week. I have some dirt experience in the ARCA Racing Series - where I won a pole award, led some laps and had some strong results.


“I’m not sure if I’ll be able to transfer that to our No. 12 Overkill Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado, but I’m certainly going to put forth my best effort. I felt like we’re coming-off one of our best performances this season from start to finish with Ryan (London, crew chief) last weekend at the Pocono Raceway, so I’m determined to keep our team heading in the right direction.


“It is a busy week for me running triple-duty from the local to the national level. However, I’m excited to experience the Eldora Dirt Derby for myself and hopefully we can get earn a hard-fought top-10 finish on Thursday.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 14 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 1573 of 2160 laps contested (72.8 percent), and is currently 16th in the driver point standings, and 19th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 548 laps running in the top 15 and has made 435 green-flag passes thus far this season.


Landon Huffman

No. 20 K&L Ready Mix Chevrolet Silverado

This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Eldora Raceway … Landon Huffman will pilot Chassis No. T-01 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway.


Relief Driver … Landon Huffman will drive the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Eldora Dirt Derby at the Eldora Speedway. Spencer Boyd was scheduled to compete, but was forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained in a non-racing related incident. Boyd is still scheduled to drive the No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado with Young’s Motorsports for the remaining NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


Get Dirty … This weekend marks Landon Huffman’s first Eldora Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Short Track Stats: In two NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on short tracks (less than one mile in length), Landon Huffman has an average starting position of 22.5 and an average finish of 18.5 on these racetracks.


Atop the Pit Box: Bruce Cook … Bruce Cook, crew chief for the No. 20 K&L Ready Mix Chevrolet Silverado, has one start in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Eldora Speedway. Cook finished in the 28th-place with NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Ron Hornaday, Jr. in the 2013 inaugural Dirt Derby.
