Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Pocono Raceway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ eighth, ninth, and tenth NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Long Pond, Pa.,-facility. The organization posted a team best 11th-place finish on July 29, 2017 with driver Austin Hill. The previous seven starts at the 2.5-mile triangular superspeedway have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 15.7 and an average finish of 20.4.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 201 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 20 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.6 and an average finishing position of 19.2.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Pocono Raceway.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Pocono Raceway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. T-12 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Gander RV 150 at the Pocono Raceway. The Chad Kendrick-led team last unloaded this chassis at the Kentucky Speedway on June 7, where it finished in the 12th-place after starting in the 14th-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis T-12 has additional history with Dippel at the Texas Motor Speedway.


It's Tricky ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Pocono Raceway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Superspeedway Stats: In one NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start on a superspeedway (tracks more than 2-miles in length), Tyler Dippel has an average finish of 29.0.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 D&A Concrete Contractor, Inc. Chevrolet Silverado, has two top-five finishes and two top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Long Pond, Pa.,-facility in seven starts. Kendrick has led 9 laps as a crew chief at the “Tricky Triangle.”


In the Rearview Mirror: Kentucky Speedway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 12th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway on Thursday, July 11. Dippel started in the 14th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 35, Dippel was in the 11th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70, he was in the 12th-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the third-place.


Season-to-date … Through the first 13 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 1920 of 2100 laps contested (91.4 percent), and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-10 finish, has spent 728 laps running in the top 15 and has made 493 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Pocono Raceway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 101 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Gander RV 150 at the Pocono Raceway. The OverkillRV.com team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Chicagoland Speedway on June 28, where it finished in the 15th-place after starting in the 12th-place in the chassis’ fifth appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Previous entries for chassis No. 101 had Tanner Thorson at the reins at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway and the Martinsville Speedway, and Austin Hill was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at both the Dover (Del.) International Speedway and the Iowa Speedway in 2018.


What Turn 4? ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Pocono Raceway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Bluffton, S.C., driver has five starts in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series at the Pocono Raceway. Dean has strong performances that include one top-five finish and three top-10 finishes, with an average finishing position of 8.0 at the 2.5-mile track. He made his track debut on July 29, 2016 in the ARCA Racing Series.

Atop the Pit Box: Ryan “Pickle” London … C. Ryan “Pickle” London, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, has one start at the Long Pond, Pa.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. London maintains the highest average finish (15.0) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Pocono Raceway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Kentucky Speedway … In the Rearview Mirror: Kentucky Speedway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 25th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway on Thursday, July 11. The 24-year old started in the 13th-place at the Sparta, Ky.,-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 in the 16th-place on Lap 35. On Lap 60 Dean was involved in an incident that regulated him to the garage, and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70, was the 24th-place. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the sixth-place.


Quoting Gus Dean:

“I’m looking forward to returning to the Pocono Raceway this weekend. Pocono Raceway is a fun race track, and a place that I have been able to embrace. I’ve been fortunate enough to have some success in the ARCA Racing Series at the Pocono Raceway.

“I would like to think this is a great opportunity for our No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado team to have our best finish of the season.


“I am really proud of our Young’s Motorsports team. We have had a lot of speed in our Chevrolet Silverados the last couple of races – even if we did not have the finishes to show for the effort. Hopefully, it will all come together this weekend at the Pocono Raceway.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 13 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 1513 of 2100 laps contested (72.0 percent), and is currently 17th in the driver point standings, and 20th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 490 laps running in the top 15 and has made 412 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Pocono Raceway … Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. T-11 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Gander RV 150 at the Pocono Raceway. The Andrew Abbott-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Dover International Speedway on May 3, where they finished in the 22nd-place after starting in the 27th-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


Love Triangle … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Pocono Raceway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Boyd has two NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts - making his track debut on June 10, 2017.


Superspeedway Stats: In one NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series start on a superspeedway (tracks more than 2-miles in length), Spencer Boyd has an average finish of 8.5.


Atop the Pit Box: Andrew Abbott … Andrew Abbott, crew chief for the No. 20 Kickass Beef Jerky Chevrolet Silverado, has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Pocono Raceway.


In the Rearview Mirror: Kentucky Speedway ... Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 Record Rack Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 29th-position in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Buckle Up In Your Truck 225 at the Kentucky Speedway on Thursday, July 11. Boyd started in the 25th-position, finished Stage 1 on Lap 35 in the 28th-position. On Lap 43 the St. Louis, Mo., native was involved in an incident in Turn 1, and was scored in the 29th-place at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70. The 24-year old was scored as high as 21st-position.


Quoting Spencer Boyd:

“Pocono Raceway is a very unique track - 'The Tricky Triangle.’ I would almost consider the Pocono Raceway a road course – it is a lot of fun.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 13 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Spencer Boyd has completed 1863 of 2100 laps contested (88.7 percent), and has led one lap. Boyd is currently 14th in the driver point standings, and 17th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-five finish (Daytona) and one top-10 finish, has spent 227 laps running in the top 15 and has made 323 green-flag passes thus far this season.
