Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History at the Chicagoland Speedway ... This weekend will mark Young’s Motorsports’ eighth, ninth, and 10th NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) starts at the Joliet, Ill.,-facility. The organization has posted a team best ninth-place finish in 2018 with driver Austin Hill. The previous seven starts at the 1.5-mile track have earned Young’s Motorsports an average starting position of 17.7 and an average finish of 15.6.


Young’s Motorsports’ NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series History ... Since entering the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series in 2012, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 195 starts from 24 drivers, resulting in solid performances that include three top-five finishes and 20 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 19.7 and an average finishing position of 19.3.


Putting the Young in Young’s Motorsports … Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has five starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Chicagoland Speedway.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Chicagoland Speedway ... Tyler Dippel will pilot Chassis No. 22 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway. The Chad Kendrick-led team as last unloaded this chassis at the Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway on May 17, where it finished in the 13th-place after starting in the 25th-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Chassis No. 22 also has a start at the Kansas Speedway.


Windy City Statistics ... This weekend marks Tyler Dippel’s first Chicagoland Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series.


Media Availability ... Tyler Dippel will be accessible to media in attendance at the Chicagoland Speedway on Friday, June 28 at 1:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (CT). The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series rotation media availability will be hosted inside the media center.


Speedway Stats: In 11 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Tyler Dippel has one top-10 finish (Texas), with an average finish of 14.7.


Atop the Pit Box: Chad Kendrick … Chad Kendrick, crew chief for the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado, has two top-five finishes and four top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series at the Joliet, Ill.,-facility in eight starts. He maintains the highest average finish (9.2) of the Young’s Motorsports crew chiefs at the Chicagoland Speedway, and has led 61 laps as a crew chief.


In the Rearview Mirror: World Wide Technology Raceway ... Tyler Dippel, driver of the No. 02 Jersey Filmmaker Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 15th-place on Saturday, June 22 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series CarShield 200 presented by CK Power at the World Wide Technology Raceway. Dippel started in the 14th-place in the 32-truck field, and at the Stage 1 conclusion on Lap 35, Dippel was in the 18th-place. By the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70 he was in the 17th-place. The Wallkill, N.Y.- native was scored as high as the sixth-place.


Season-to-date … Through the first 11 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Tyler Dippel has completed 1623 of 1800 laps contested (90.2 percent) and has led two laps. Dippel is currently 11th in the driver point standings, and 14th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-10 finish, has spent 479 laps running in the top 15 and has made 394 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week's Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Chicagoland Speedway ... Gus Dean will pilot Chassis No. 101 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway. The Jeff Stankiewicz-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the World Wide Technology Raceway on June 22, where it finished in the 19th-place after starting in the 19th-place in the chassis’ fourth appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season. Tanner Thorson also took the reins of chassis No. 101 at the Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway, ISM Raceway and the Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, and Austin Hill was behind-the-wheel of this chassis at both the Dover (Del.) International Speedway and the Iowa Speedway in 2018.


Blues Brothers Territory ... This weekend marks Gus Dean’s first Chicagoland Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The Bluffton, S.C., driver has two starts in the ARCA (Automobile Racing Club of America) Racing Series at the Chicagoland Speedway. He made his track debut on September 14, 2017 in the ARCA Racing Series.


Speedway Stats: In eight combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Gus Dean has an average finish of 21.4.


Atop the Pit Box: Jeff Stankiewicz … Jeff Stankiewicz, crew chief of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado, has five starts at the Joliet, Ill.,-facility in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, including one top-five finish and four top-10 finishes. In his only start (2018) in the ARCA Racing Series as a crew chief at the Chicagoland Speedway, Stankiewicz collected the pole award and finished in the second place.


In the Rearview Mirror: World Wide Technology Raceway … Gus Dean, driver of the No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 19th-place in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series CarShield 200 presented by CK Power at the World Wide Technology Raceway on Saturday, June 22. The 24-year old started in the 19th-place at the Madison, Ill.,-facility. Dean finished Stage 1 on Lap 35 in the 19th-place, and at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70, he held position. The Bluffton, S.C., native was scored as high as the seventh-place.


Quoting Gus Dean:

“I am optimistic about this weekend at the Chicagoland Speedway with our No. 12 OverkillRV.com Chevrolet Silverado team. I’ve been to the Chicagoland Speedway a couple times with the ARCA Racing Series, so I’m hopeful that some of that experience can transfer to the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. Thankfully, we have three practices to get our truck balanced for qualifying and the race.


“I’m really hoping we can put together a top-15 finish on Friday and that will give some momentum for the next race at the Kentucky Speedway.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 11 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Gus Dean has completed 1301 of 1800 laps contested (72.3 percent), and is currently 17th in the driver point standings and 20th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has spent 361 laps running in the top 15 and has made 346 green-flag passes thus far this season.

This Week’s Young’s Motorsports’ Chevrolet Silverado at the Chicagoland Speedway … Spencer Boyd will pilot Chassis No. T-18 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Camping World 225 at the Chicagoland Speedway. The Andrew Abbott-led team last unloaded this Young’s Motorsports-prepared chassis at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 17, where they finished in the 22nd-place after starting in the 30th-place in the chassis’ second appearance of the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.


Blowing Away the Competition … This weekend marks Spencer Boyd’s first Chicagoland Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. The St. Louis, Mo., driver has three starts at the Chicagoland Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He made his track debut on September 17, 2016.


Speedway Stats: In 12 combined NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), Spencer Boyd has an average finish of 21.5.


Atop the Pit Box: Andrew Abbott … Andrew Abbott, crew chief for the No. 20 Wilkerson Automation Chevrolet Silverado, has two starts in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series at the Chicagoland Speedway, including a 16th-place finish with Tyler Young in 2016.


In the Rearview Mirror: World Wide Technology Raceway ... Spencer Boyd, driver of the No. 20 1A Auto Chevrolet Silverado for Young’s Motorsports, finished in the 20th-position on Saturday, June 22 in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series CarShield 200 presented by CK Power at the World Wide Technology Raceway. Boyd started in the 16th-position, finished Stage 1 on Lap 35 in the 20th-position, and was scored in the 21st-place at the end of Stage 2 on Lap 70. The 24-year old was scored as high as 15th-position.


Quoting Spencer Boyd:

“Chicagoland Speedway is a unique track, and I am looking forward to getting there with our Young’s Motorsports team. The No. 20 Wilkerson Automation Chevrolet Silverado has improved on the intermediate tracks throughout the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series season.”


Season-to-date … Through the first 11 NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series races of the 2019 season, Spencer Boyd has completed 1674 of 1800 laps contested (93.0 percent), and is currently 14th in the driver point standings and 18th in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series owner points. In addition, the Young’s Motorsports driver has collected one top-five finish (Daytona) and one top-10 finish, has spent 175 laps running in the top 15 and has made 283 green-flag passes thus far this season.
