37 KIND DAYS 250: The Young’s Motorsports teams take off for Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., this weekend for the 37 Kind Days 250. Austin Hill will pilot the No. 02 United Rentals Chevrolet Silverado and as announced earlier this week, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace will make his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start of the 2018 season behind the wheel of the No. 20 Andy’s Frozen Custard Chevrolet Silverado.
ROOKIE AT KANSAS: Friday’s 37 Kind Days 250 will be Hill’s first visit to the 1.5-mile circuit. The Winston, Ga., native has two previous starts at intermediate tracks this season. He was relegated to an 18th-place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Ga., after a cut tire on a Green-White-Checkered restart. He rebounded the following week at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway however and tallied a top-10 finish at his first ever visit to the track.
BUBBA’S NCWTS RETURN: The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Alumnus will make his third NCWTS start at Kansas Speedway on Friday. In Wallace’s two previous NCWTS starts at the intermediate circuit, he’s earned two top-15 finishes, seventh in 2013 followed up by a 15th-place finish the following year. In 2015, he earned an 11th-place finish in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Wallace is also going for three consecutive NCWTS wins, as his last two races (2014 and 2017) saw the Alabama native in Victory Lane.
