THORSON TO MAKE NASCAR CAMPING WORLD TRUCK SERIES DEBUT AT DOVER WITH YOUNG’S MOTORSPORTS & GOSHARE

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 1, 2018) – Minden, Nev., native, Tanner Thorson, is set to make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) debut in the Young’s Motorsports No. 20 GoShare Chevrolet this weekend at Dover (Del.)  International Speedway for the JEGS 200.

At the beginning of 2018, it was announced that the 21-year-old would be joining Team Dillon and competing in 12 events with Young’s Motorsports as part of a driver development program.

“I’m really looking forward to having Tanner get behind the wheel of one of our Trucks,” said team principal, Tyler Young. “Although our finish might not show how well he ran the entirety of the race, I was extremely impressed by Tanner at the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE), event at Bristol last month and expect he will run well this weekend at Dover.”

Thorson has made one start with Young’s Motorsports in the NKNPSE at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway for the Zombie Auto 150. In the 150-lap race, he overcame an ill-handing car and going a lap down, racing as high as 13th before being spun, resulting in significant damage to the No. 28 Maestro’s Classic Chevrolet, relegating Thorson to a 23rd-place finish.

“I’m excited and ready to get behind the wheel of the No. 20 GoShare Chevy this weekend at Dover,” said Thorson. “I can’t thank Team Dillon, Young’s Motorsports and GoShare enough for believing in me and providing this opportunity.”

GoShare was featured on the No. 20 Chevrolet at Atlanta (Ga.) Motor Speedway in February with Daytona 500 Champion, Austin Dillon at the helm and will be the primary sponsor for Thorson’s debut this weekend at the Monster Mile. Thorson will pilot the GoShare No. 20 later this season at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas, ISM Raceway in Phoenix, Ariz., and will round out the season in Florida at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
