Notes of Interest:

● Welcome Back: For the first time in 40 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series races dating back to the season-finale at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway in November 2023, Young’s Motorsports is proud to welcome the return of veteran Xfinity Series driver Nick Leitz.

Following the penultimate road course race of the 2025 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series season last weekend at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International, Leitz will take the wheel of the team’s flagship No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado RST for Friday night’s eero 250 at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.

Friday night’s race marks the 2025 regular season finale for the 25-race tour.

● About Nick Leitz: A relatively new face across NASCAR’s national series, Leitz has been quickly and quietly building a resume with plenty of experience and diversity.

With a healthy presence in the Late Model scene in the northeast, the Chesapeake, Va. native graduated to the NASCAR scene in 2022 and has been running a limited schedule since.

In addition to returning to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series scene this weekend with Young’s Motorsports, Leitz has competed in eight NASCAR Xfinity Series races this season for SS-GreenLight Racing.

● All Board: For the 18th of 25 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series races this season, Precision Measurements Inc. will serve as the primary marketing partner for Friday evening’s No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado RST for the 250-lap race.

Precision Measurements Inc. (PMI) is a full service Land Surveying firm, established in 1995, providing surveying services statewide, nationwide and internationally with offices in Virginia Beach, Newport News, Richmond and Chantilly, Virginia as well as Columbia, Maryland.

PMI is currently licensed to perform surveying services in Virginia, West Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts, Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee.

● Nick Leitz Truck Series Richmond Raceway Stats: Friday night’s eero 250 at Richmond Raceway will mark Leitz’s second career NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series start at the historic 0.75-mile D-shaped oval.

In his track debut at the venue nicknamed “The Action Track,” Leitz finished 36th after starting 34th in the 2022 Worldwide Express 250 for Carrier Appreciation aboard the No. 33 Impact Logistics Ford F-150 for Reaume Brothers Racing.

The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series heads to the capital city of Virginia for its 18th and final race of the regular season — a high-stakes Friday night short-track showdown under the lights at fan-favorite Richmond Raceway, setting the tone for an action-packed weekend of NASCAR competition.

Friday night’s finale will set the official Playoff field before the NASCAR Cup Series takes center stage on Saturday night in the annual Cook Out 400.

Known for its blend of short-track intensity, tire management, and speedway-style strategy, Richmond Raceway presents a unique challenge for Truck Series competitors.

With passing often at a premium, track position will be pivotal, making every pit stop and restart a potential game-changer in deciding both the race winner and the final Playoff berths.

Following the 17th race on the expanded 2025 schedule — which includes two additional events compared to 2024 — the seven-race sprint to the Championship 4 at Phoenix (Ariz.) Raceway on Halloween launches at the track famously dubbed “Too Tough to Tame,” Darlington (S.C.) Raceway, on August 30, 2025.

● Nick Leitz Truck Series Stats: Since 2022, Leitz has made seven NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series starts at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway, Phoenix Raceway and Richmond (Va.) Raceway respectively.

Leitz has driven for two organizations, Reaume Brothers Racing and Young’s Motorsports.

In those races, Leitz earned a career-best finish of 19th twice, most recently at Phoenix Raceway in the 2023 edition of the CRAFTSMAN 150 after starting nearly shotgun on the field in 35th.

In addition to his NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series experience, Leitz has competed in 15 NASCAR Xfinity Series races since 2023.

Calling the Shots: Guiding Leitz as crew chief of the No. 02 Precision Measurements Inc. Chevrolet Silverado RST is veteran crew chief Jason Miller.

On Friday night, he will be crew chief in his 151st NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series race. In his previous 150 races, he has one win, eight top-five and 28 top-10 finishes.

The season’s 18th race will be his first tango at Richmond Raceway as crew chief in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series.

● Young's Motorsports' NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series at Richmond Raceway: This weekend marks Young’s Motorsports’ 14th NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series start nestled in the state of Old Dominion.

Since that 2020 appearance, the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization has 13 Truck Series starts at Richmond Raceway, with an average starting position of 27.9 and an average finish of 28.9.

This weekend will signify the team’s 100th NASCAR CRAFTSMAN® Truck Series short track race. In the team’s previous 99 efforts, the team has tallied one top-10 and an average finishing position of 24.4.

Nick Leitz Pre-Race Quotes:

On Returning to Young’s Motorsports at Richmond Raceway: "I’m really excited to be back with Young’s Motorsports this weekend, especially at a place like Richmond Raceway. It’s a track that always puts on great racing, and with this being the regular season finale, there’s a lot on the line for everyone in the field. Even though we aren’t part of the Playoffs, we plan to race hard but race respectfully and hopefully put ourselves in position for a strong finish.

“I’m thankful to have Precision Measurements Inc. on board for this race — their support means a lot, and I’m looking forward to giving them and our team a solid run under the lights on Friday night."

On Richmond Raceway: "Richmond Raceway is a special place for me — it’s my hometown track, and there’s nothing like racing in front of family, friends and familiar faces.

“I made my first Truck Series start here in 2022, and while the finish wasn’t what we hoped for, it gave me a good feel for the track and what it takes to be competitive.

“Coming back this weekend with Young’s Motorsports, I’m confident we can take what I learned from that race and put together a stronger performance. The goal is to keep improving, run all the laps and be there at the end to capitalize on every opportunity."

On Goals for Richmond Raceway: "The goal for Richmond is simple — have a solid finish that everyone on this Young’s Motorsports team and our partners can be proud of.

"This is an important race for us, and we want to execute well, stay out of trouble and make the most of every opportunity on the track. A strong run here would not only be special at my hometown track, but it would also give the team great momentum heading into Darlington in a couple of weeks."
