During the 25-race season, Hornaday had one pole, one win, seven top-five and 13 top-10 finishes en route to a fourth place effort in the championship standings.

Lady In Black Debut: Wright will make his track debut at Darington (S.C.) Raceway’s Lady In Black for 147 laps on Friday night.

Kansas Speedway | WISE Power 200 Race Recap: In the most recent NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway, Kris Wright returned to the driving duties of the No. 02 MasterTech Chevrolet.

After starting 24th, Wright battled through the adversity throughout the 140-lap race to finish 33rd.

Solid Pace For Young’s Motorsports: With 15 races remaining in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this season, Young’s Motorsports sits a respectable 19th in the series’ owner standings with a handful of drivers.

In addition to Wright, former Truck Series road course winner Kaz Grala and NASCAR Xfinity Series winner Josh Berry have all piloted the No. 02 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet in the opening seven races of 2021.

In one of the most competitive Truck Series seasons on record, the team has collected one top-10, two top-15s and four top-25 efforts.

Driver Intel: Road racing standout Kris Wright continues his rookie season with Young’s Motorsports with Friday night’s LiftKits4Less.com 200 at Darlington.

The former IMSA and Formula 3 driver invades the Truck Series scene this season after spending much of the 2020 season competing in the ARCA Menards Series competing for Chad Bryant Racing and GMS Racing, respectively.

Wright earned three top-10 finishes in six races, including a career-best seventh in the season-finale at Kansas Speedway last October.

Calling the Shots: Guiding Wright as crew chief of the No. 02 MasterTech Chevrolet Silverado is longtime crew chief Eddie Troconis.

Troconis is a two-time winning crew chief in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and comes to Young’s Motorsports after tenures at ThorSport Racing, AM Racing and Sam Hunt Racing (Xfinity Series) respectively.

He will crew chief his 130th NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night. In his previous 129 races, he has two wins, 22 top-five and 45 top-10 finishes to his resume.

Troconis touted as a gifted engineer has one previous start as crew chief at Darlington’s 1.366-mile oval. Last year, he guided Austin Wayne Self to a personal-track best of 17th after starting 24th.

Kris Wright Pre-Race Quote:

On Darlington Raceway: "I wanted something epic to drive at Darlington Raceway this weekend — and this is it. We wanted to do a bona fide truck throwback, not a cup or Xfinity throwback that ended up on a truck. It just doesn't feel right to intermingle schemes from one series into another series.

"This paint scheme hasn't been done before, and it's one of the most historic designs from the 2000s. Ron was an iconic truck series champion, and I am happy to celebrate him with a throwback in his honor."

On 2021 Season: “We are heading to Darlington hoping to change our luck. We haven’t had the finishes we wanted over the past couple of races, but it has not come from a lack of effort from everyone on the Young’s Motorsports team.

“I’m definitely optimistic about my Darlington debut, but I feel we can have a throwback performance on Friday night if everything goes our way.”

No. 12 Young’s Motorsports Team:

Driver: Tate Fogleman

Blast From The Past: Tate Fogleman and Young’s Motorsports will honor Tate’s father Jay Fogleman with a retro paint scheme this weekend at Darlington.

Fogleman’s No. 12 Chevrolet Silverado will adorn the look from the elder Fogleman’s tenure in the Pro All Stars Series and X-1R Pro Cup Series when he drove the No. 4 Speedco Ford.

Kansas Speedway | WISE Power 200 Race Recap: In the most recent NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Kansas Speedway, Tate Fogelman made his 33rd career Truck Series start aboard the No. 12 Solid Rock Carriers Chevrolet Silverado.

Climbing from his 35th place starting position, Fogleman appeared headed towards a top-20 finish until he encountered electrical issues which thwarted the team’s opportunity for a strong finish.

After repairs, Fogleman returned to the race and finished 36th.

Solid As A Rock: Solid Rock Carriers will continue a season-long partnership with Solid Rock Carriers as the associate marketing partner of his No. 12 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet for the LiftKits4Less.com 200.

Solid Rock Carriers Inc. is a licensed and bonded freight shipping and trucking company running freight hauling business from Lagrange, North Carolina. Serving the eastern United States for over 20 years, Solid Rock Carriers provides on-time delivery and superior customer service.

To The Point(s): Entering Darlington, Fogleman sits 26th in the championship standings.

Just 50 points separate Fogleman from 15th in the championship standings currently held by Tanner Gray with 15 races remaining this season.

Young’s Motorsports’ No. 12 team also secures 35th in the NCWTS owner standings.

Did You Know?: 21-year-old Fogleman is the son of Jay Fogleman a former competitor in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and a 10-time winner in what is now known as the CARS Tour Series.

Calling the Shots: Guiding Fogleman as crew chief of the No. 12 Solid Rock Carriers Chevrolet Silverado is crew chief Ryan London.

He will crew chief his 32nd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night. In his previous 31 races, he has one top-five and two top-10 finishes to his resume.

This weekend will mark his first race at Darlington as crew chief.

On Darlington Raceway: “Darlington was one of our better races during the 2020 season – so I’m excited about the chance to return and better our finish from last fall.

“I feel like we got robbed of a good finish at Kansas Speedway, so Darlington is a perfect place to bounce back and turn the tide for our Young’s Motorsports team.”

On 2021 Season: “I’m proud of everyone on this Young’s Motorsports team – even if we do not have the finishes to show for it. It does not come from a lack of effort from anyone. We will continue to fight. We need to put some points on the board over the next couple of races to head into the summer stretch.”

Notes of Interest:

Back To Familiar Territory: Fan favorite Spencer Boyd returns to Darlington Raceway looking to improve on his track-best 26th place run at the 1.366-mile speedway in September 2020.

Blast From The Past: Spencer Boyd and Young’s Motorsports announced Monday their plans for their 2021 Darlington Throwback paint scheme honoring three-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, Jack Sprague.

Boyd’s sponsor, Credit MRI, will forego its beloved neon green to pay homage to Sprague’s 2007 No. 60 Con-Way Freight colors.

Jack Sprague has 29 career wins and 429 races to his credit in NASCAR’s top three touring series dating back to his first start in 1989. In a span of six years, he won the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship three times (1997, 1999 and 2001) while finishing second in points twice. His record and place in the sport point toward a hall of fame induction in the coming years.

Kansas Speedway | WISE Power 200 Race Recap: In the most recent NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Richmond Raceway, Boyd made his 54th career Truck Series start aboard the No. 20 WML Enterprises Chevrolet Silverado.

After starting 27th, Boyd suffered a flat tire that hindered his opportunity to contend for a solid finish. Still, the veteran persevered throughout the 140-lap race to claim 35th at the checkered flag.

Fix Now, Pay Later: This weekend at Darlington, Boyd’s No. 20 Young’s Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado will adorn the primary colors of Credit MRI.

For more than a decade Credit MRI has delivered professional credit repair services with its industry first and only 30 DAY NO FEE GUARANTEE. Simply put if they do not deliver results then you pay nothing.

Whether you are looking to purchase a home, car, RV, jet ski, motorcycle, or simply looking to improve your credit score to lower your current interest rates, Credit MRI is your one stop credit repair partner.

To The Point(s): Entering Darlington, Boyd sits 27th in the championship standings – maintaining the same position from Kansas.

Just 51 points separate Boyd from 15th in the championship standings currently held by Tanner Gray with 15 races remaining this season.

Young’s Motorsports’ No. 20 team also secures 36th in the NCWTS owner standings.

Chasing That W: Boyd is eyeing his second career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory for himself and Young’s Motorsports.

In 2019 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, Boyd pulled an upset during the Truck Series Playoffs by winning the Sugarland Shines 250 at the 2.66-mile superspeedway edging Todd Gilliland by 0.027 seconds.

Truck Series Rundown: In five years of Truck Series competition, Boyd has 54 career Truck Series starts with one win, two top-five and two top-10 finishes and a championship best of 17th in 2019.

Calling the Shots: Guiding Boyd as crew chief of the No. 20 Angry Brew Coffee Chevrolet Silverado is veteran crew chief Joe Lax.

He will crew chief his 63rd NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on Friday night. In his previous 62 races, he has one pole and six top-10 finishes to his resume.

This weekend will mark his second race at Darlington as crew chief. Last year, he guided Boyd to an 26th place run after starting 25th.

Spencer Boyd Pre-Race Quotes:

On Darlington Raceway: “I take the Darlington weekend very seriously. I love what NASCAR and Darlington have done with this (throwback) weekend. It allows me to look back at racing history to find something special to me, our team, or our sport and this year is no different.

“Jack Sprague was part of the inaugural year trucks ran back in 1995. He is a three-time champion. He paved the way for guys like me, so I’m honored he’s letting me run his paint scheme.”

On Partnering With Credit MRI: “I used to sell cars back in my part-time NASCAR days. “I would see many hard-working people unable to get approved for a car because of simple strikes on their credit reports.

“Credit MRI is helping those folks, without charging them upfront, navigate the confusing path of credit recovery. Anything that helps hard-working Americans is high on my list!”
