Young’s Motorsports Race Preview NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series at Daytona 2020

Young’s Motorsports’ rolled into Daytona International Speedway this morning to kick off 2020 with NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series for the season opener NextEra Energy 250 on Friday evening. The organization capped off last season with their first win in October at Talladega Superspeedway, the series only other two-and-a-half-mile track. 2019 Talladega winner Spencer Boyd, who returns to the No. 20 truck, collected one of the organization's two top-five finishes in fourth-place to start last season at the Daytona. Scott Lagasse, Jr. recorded the other top-five in fifth-place in 2018.

Young’s Motorsports team principal Tyler Young has one top-10 finish in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series in four starts at the Daytona International Speedway.


Tate Fogleman | Solid Rock Carriers No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado | Owner: Randy Young

Tate Fogleman will make his career-first superspeedway start this week at Daytona International Speedway. The Durham, N.C., - native will make his fourth Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series start with Young’s Motorsports in the Solid Rock Carriers No. 02 Chevrolet Silverado. Making his twelfth truck series go atop the box is crew chief, Chad Kendrick who has one win and six top-10 finishes to his credit at Daytona. Le Grange, N.C., - based Solid Rock Carriers is continuing their partnership with Fogleman, who first sponsored the High Point University sophomore at the age of twelve.


ABOUT SOLID ROCK CARRIERS: Solid Rock Carriers Inc., was founded in 1997 and is based out of La Grange, N.C. They have been serving the eastern United States for over 30 years and have 35 trucks for their customers’ hauling needs.


Spencer Boyd | Curalife No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado | Owner: Becky Young

Spencer Boyd returns to Daytona with Young’s Motorsports for his second full-time season in the Curalife No. 20 Chevrolet Silverado. In Boyd’s last superspeedway event he earned his first Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series win at Talladega this past October. Previous to the win at Talladega, the St. Louis, M.O., - native earned his series-best finish of fourth-place at the Daytona Beach two-and-a-half-mile track, in 2019. The No. 20 team will be under the direction of crew chief, Joe Lax, who has one top-ten finish in two starts at Daytona.
